INTRODUCTIONS, Brooklyn Artists Gym

My post-MFA residency at Brooklyn Artists Gym is coming to a close end of this month. But before I go, I am participating in a final group exhibition, featuring other recent grad residents (and, randomly enough, a couple dudes from my Brooklyn College class!). Unlike the last BAG fall salon opening, I am able to actually attend! Please join me this Saturday night!

"time is a master, time can be a disaster WAAOW!"

(dub side of the moon "time" by easy star all-stars)

this weekend gave way to some rooftop spray painting. finally made something of my first firework experiment back in june. all in all, i'm happy with the results, both this 4 panel "in the black/in the red" take and the smokey cityscape..

finally took control over this rickety runaway train of a painting.. when in doubt, white that 'ish out..

"sitting here waiting for you would be like waiting for winter.."

(sade "love is stronger than pride")

lotta projects as of late.. teaching a freshman seminar at brooklyn college, re-launching griot apparel (details coming soon!), gettin' loose in the printmaking lab, working on a new live and dusty mix, seeking/receiving new freelance clients, peddlin' apples at the lincoln center farmers market, p/t office gig, and - of course - still pushing paint at brooklyn artists gym (as demonstrated below). got 99 problems, but being bored ain't one..

"pardon me while i burst into flames"

(incubus)

took a couple short breaks from NYC and made rounds in Boston, Philly, and Reading. somewhere in there i listened to incubus' "make yourself" album and lit some fireworks on top a forgotten painting.
