In my continued effort to align myself with local muralists and gently get my own mural making career off the ground, all summer I have been assisting on a massive 30x100 foot mural on the Gowanus Canal (on Dyke's Lumber, across the water from Whole Foods) with lead artists Julia Whitney Barnes and Ruth Hofheimer. It's been a pretty incredible experience and I've learned a ton so far. It's been quite a journey and we're still making our way through, but I want to share a few in-progress photos awhile. Stay tuned for a final update in the coming weeks!
Over five years in the making, my dude David MsShane's masterpiece is finally being installed! Here are just a couple photos I took while assisting on the cloth pasting earlier today. Come see the full 8-story high mural starting August 1st on the Walnut Street Bridge in Philly!
Today I had the pleasure of contributing to Ellie Balk's most recent Visualize Pi mural. Here are a few in prog pics. See the completed work live and direct at Grand Street & Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn!
Couldn't have asked for a better day for this year's Eagles Paint Day. It's always a joy to be a part of this beautiful event. This year I got to help paint a portrait of Frida Kahlo, hang with a bunch of adorable kindergardeners, and I got a photo with the man, #9, Nick Foles! Great day.
